When I realized there are 5 weekends in July this year and the store’s 5th anniversary, I was inspired to create the 5-5-5 Campaign. Each weekend in July, Simplicity Décor will donate 5 percent of its sales to a local charitable non-profit organization.
The organizations chosen were nominated on Simplicity Décor’s Facebook page and are the following:
July 2 and 3: Kirkland Downtown Association
July 9 and 10: Kirkland Choral Society
July 16 and 17: KITH (A non-profit with the mission to provide safe housing and confront homelessness)
July 23 and 24: POMWA (Peace of Mind—Parent Education and Child Empowerment)
July 30 and 31: Hopelink (Help those who need help with housing and to promote self-sufficiency)
I would like to encourage you to learn more about these deserved non-profit organizations and invite you to come into the store in the next 5 weeks to celebrate our 5th anniversary with us and support your favorite non-profit organization.
Some of Simplicity Décor’s signature items are its Gurgle Pots—created colorful pitchers that produce a delightful “gurgle” as they are poured and invented by a local man. The store is also the first in the country to carry artwork by David Bromstad, host of HGTV’s Color Splash.
Store hours are Monday and Tuesday from 10:30am to 8:00pm, Wednesday through Saturday from 10:30am to 9:00pm and Sunday from Noon to 6:00pm.
