What We’re Getting Our Dads for Father’s Day-

Dads are special people- see  how we’re spoiling ours today!

My dad is very difficult to shop for. Most of the time when a gift is in order I pick up a gift card to Home Depot or Lowes. To make this a little more personal I try to find a special card to go with it. At Simplicity Decor and Simplicity ABC there are several great greeting cards to help you express your appreciation and love to the fathers and grandfathers in your life. So whether you get a gift card or find a special item in our store, make sure to take a look at our cards and make your father’s day gift complete.

My dad is always up for a good adventure; it’s just the matter of finding one that he hasn’t already done!! With this new portable guide for the roads of Washington, new adventures are at your fingertips. My new favorite book for dad is Washington Wild Roads, which includes 80 scenic drives to camping, hiking trails, and adventures! It is organized by highways, so it is perfect for having along on trips. It also has the wild roads organized according to how wild you feel: Flatlanders Welcome, Sightseeing OK, White Knuckles, and finally, Valium Prescribed. So pack a picnic, and this book, and hit the road for some wild scenic adventures!

My dad very recently got his FIRST cell phone ever! For years I tried to talk him into getting one but he just held out. Now that he Finally has one, we text each other back and forth and have even started sharing pictures of our day-to-day happenings; it’s fun. A few days ago I texted him and didn’t hear back. Now that I’m able to reach him so easily it was weird not to hear back. When I finally did hear from him two days later, I asked him why it took so long to get back to me, and he said he had misplaced his cell phone and he finally found it in his glove compartment! I knew right then I needed to get him this nifty device in bright orange so he’d be able to have a place to store his phone when he’s not using it. It stores and charges at the same time. So no more, I lost my cell phone, or my cell phone is dead excuses 😉 Love ya Dad!
