As you grow up, you will have your heart broken more than once and it’s harder every time. You’ll break hearts too, so remember how it felt when yours was broken. You’ll fight with your best friend, you’ll cry becasue time is passing too fast, and eventually you’ll lose someone you love. So, take many pictures, laugh too much, and love like you’ve never been hurt. Becasue every sixty seconds you spend upset is a minute of happiness you’ll never get back.
At the beginning of every new year, I like to reflect back on the year we’ve all just left in the dust. While it’s been a productive one for me, I’d like to look to the quote on this sign for some inspiration in the year ahead. To me, this sign is a reminder that we only get one life, and what you make of it is your choice. Things happen, good and bad, but your reaction to those things is your own. My New Year’s Resolution for 2012… I am going to take too many pictures, laugh too much, and love like I’ve never been hurt. For me, the year ahead brings with it a marriage, my first nephew, and helping to open a new store. I look forward to the trials and triumphs each will bring, and will remember that each of these firsts only happen once! Let’s make it a great one, Happy New Year!
