Saturday, December 12th, Noon to 2:00 pm Simplicity Decor's Annual Giving Project Throughout the Holiday Season each year, we do what we can to give a little back all around. Last year, for example, in addition to giving 5% back to our wonderful customers, another 10% of purchases went to local area Hopelink programs for homeless families and families in need. Through your patronage and generous donations, last spring we were able to present Hopelink with a check for $4,200. The previous year, 10% of purchases went to benefit an orphanage in my hometown, Bangkok, Thailand. Thanks to you, we were able to present the orphanage with much-needed funds and gifts including food, clothing, kitchen and laundry items, and furniture. Each fall, an event benefiting Seattle's Rosehedge organization is held at Simplicity Décor. Founded in 1988 as one of the nation's first organizations dedicated to supporting and caring for individuals living with HIV/AIDS, Rosehedge provides housing and 24-hour care to men and women no longer able to care for themselves. And, each year, the event raises crucial funds to support Rosehedge's invaluable work. To those of you able to attend and support Rosehedge through this fundraising event, thank you. If you have not been able to attend, I certainly encourage you to learn more about ways you can support this organization's important work. |
